Vague voicemail left regarding legal action (false). Either they've got the wrong number and are terrible at leaving voicemails... or they're definitely a scam. Steer clear.

2nd time in a year. I called the supposed number to PayPal listed in the email and told them to quit scamming people and get an honest.job. a few hours later I got a call back and they were portraying themselves as PayPal which I told him I knew he was not and I knew from previous experience it is a phishing scheme. He wanted me to send an email back to the email address on the correspondence I am sure so he could get my IP address. I researched this with the real PayPal and the real computer company last time and they were aware and assured me it was a scam.

This was the call; “Hello this is Elizabeth calling from the underwriting department regarding your capital one credit card account based on your recent payment activity and balance you may be eligible for an interest rate reduction to as low as 1.9% of there is additional information I need to confirm your eligibility so please return my call directly in the underwriting department at 1-800-258-6019 once again 1-800-258-6019 this will be the only notice you receive and this offer is only valid for three business days thank you…” This is DEFINITELY a SCAM!! Do NOT call them back, do NOT give them ANY information, just REPORT THEM.
